In Eskisehir, a city in Central Anatolia Region of Turkey, a group of protesters wanted to hand out leaflets about secularism and the police took action. 25 protestors were detained.
The protestors were informed that due to state of emergency regulations, a permission was needed to hand out leaflets and make a public announcement by the district governership. Despite the warning of the police, the protestors announced that they would hand out the leaflets and they started to shout slogans. Therefore, the police intervened in the protest and detained 25 protestors. The police treated some of the the protestors while trying to take them down. The protestors were later taken to the police statement to give their statements.
