Public spat between the President Erdogan of Turkey and Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi of Iraq continued with the Abadi’s reply to Erdogan.
During the Euroasia Islam Council held this week, Erdogan criticized the objection of Abadi against the existence of Turkish troops on Iraq. Erdogan said: “He is insulting me. You are not at my level, you are not at my quality. We don’t care however much you shout in Iraq. You should know that we will do whatever we want. Know your place.”
Upon these comments of Erdogan about himself, Abadi replied on Twitter by referencing Erdogan’s live video call on TV on the coup attempt night. He tweeted: “We are not your enemy and we will liberate our land through the determination of our men and not by video calls.”
