Turkey confiscates and sells 63 mules used by smugglers

The confiscated pack mules in Van

During an operation in the Baskale district of Van, undertaken to stop smuggler activity into Turkey, the security forces encountered and confiscated 63 pack mules.

The mules were found alongside the smugglers, who used them as beasts of burden; and since they were being used for illegal activity, all of the animals were confiscated and put in an auction.

All 63 mules were sold today to an undisclosed buyer for 26 thousand and 600 Liras.
